Where do I purchase textbooks?

Textbooks can be purchased from the Barnes and Noble bookstore located across from Wilson Hall on College Drive.

What are the LRC's hours of operation?

The LRC's hours of operation are:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 8:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED

Holidays: CLOSED

How many books can be checked out?

Current students and alumni can check out up to ten (10) books and community patrons can check out up to three (3) books.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows a student at one library to request articles or books that are not available in their library. ILLs can be requested online by filling out the Interlibrary Loan Request form. At this time only current students and college employees are able to make requests.

Who can check out materials in the LRC?

Current students and college employees have access to all resources. Community and alumni patrons can check out any of the books located on the second floor excluding the Genealogy collection.

Are public users allowed to use the LRC?

Where do I get my student ID?

Student IDs can be obtained from the LRC on the main floor.

How do I print in the LRC?

Students can print in the Learning Resource Center using the Pirate Prints kiosk located on the Main Floor.

Printing can be done any of the five kiosks located around campus.

What do I need to get my student ID?

Students will need to bring their current class schedule (printout or digital) and a valid driver's license or other government ID.

What is the check out period for books?

The loan period varies depending on the type of user.

The loan period for current students and alumni is four (4) weeks and are allowed to two (2) renewals.

The loan period for community users is three (3) weeks and are allowed one (1) renewal.


What materials are available for check out?

Books, laptops, headphones, and webcams can be checked out the the Learning Resource Center.


Does the LRC have reserved textbooks?

The LRC only has textbooks that instructors have placed on reserve. Please check with your instructor to see if they have placed any on reserve.

Where do I get my books if I'm a dual enrollment student?

Most dual enrollment students can get their textbooks from the library. If you are not sure, please check with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator or your school counselor.

There is an app the IOS and Android users can download from their respective app stores. Click the image below and scan the QR code for your app store.

  1. Open your camera,

  2. Scan the QR code for your phone.

  3. Download the Ask-A-Librarian app.

  4. Search for Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

  5. You should see two options: Learning Resource Center and Tutoring Center.
